Thank you all for your continued use of Asken Diet.
We regret to inform you that we will be discontinuing the barcode scanning feature on our app starting March 23, 2023. After careful consideration, we have decided to focus our resources towards other areas that we believe can provide greater value to our users. We understand that this feature has been a convenient tool for many of you to track your food intake, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
That said, we would like to inform you that you will still be able to manually log your food items into the app using the search functionality. Your existing data will also remain unaffected. We appreciate your understanding and continued support at this time.

This app is already frustrating to log in and now we can't scan?? I will probably find a new logging app then. I can never find anything easily in your data base and without the scan options, i won't be able to accurately track my calories and nutrients. So, what would be the point of using it then?
I am new to the Asken Diet App. I have been comparing the FitBit & Fat Secret Apps for logging food, exercise, etc. Both FB & FS have bar code scanning capabilities that I find an extreme beneficial plus!! Very disappointed 😞 that the Asken app does not have this important/helpful feature included. This is a very BIG drawback in switching to this particular fitness/health app. Food database is limited & very cumbersome. Recommendation: Update this app with a barcode scanner. Asken Diet App Rating: 2.5 (usability)
