At Asken Diet, our team of nutritionists encourages users to eat healthy food to get the nutrients your body needs. Users should focus on a nutritious diet to hit their weight goals rather than simply focusing on the number of calories eaten. This is the main reason our database do not yet have a wide variety of supplements and vitamins for users to log.
However, we understand users want to log these kinds of items so we are adding a variety of supplement and vitamin items to the database over time.
Can't wait to log something?
If you have a supplement or vitamins you want to add to the database, you can do that from within the Asken Diet app. Simply go to the "My Foods" to create and log the supplement/vitamin item. Once you have created it and logged it for the first time, you can easily log it again from the My Foods section. If the supplement/vitamin package has a bar code you can scan it and create the item after scanning it.
Please note, we are aware of a slight bug in the system where after you create the item and log it, it will be displayed as "food" and not "supplement" in the nutrition chart. We are working on fixing this on the user-side of the app. In the meantime, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will fix it for you. Just tell us the name of the item you created and the email associated with your Asken Diet profile.
